Being good members of one’s community also means looking out for others needs.
On Thursday, Petromin PNG Holdings Limited came to the aid of their local police force at Badilli with donation of a computer and a color printer.
Petromin Manager for Government and Public Affairs Sam Inguba said the Badilli police force were responsible for maintaining the security and safety of a large number of people and businesses within their precinct, however lacked important equipment such as a computer to assist in managing their files.
“Petromin is more than happy to come to their assistance with this donation of a computer and printer,” Mr Inguba said.
Badilli Police Station Commander, Snr Sergeant Bill Werake said the computer would assist the station immensely in documenting court files and maintain an electronic database for their records.
“As Station Commander, we are here primarily to help people. It is good to have people realize what we are doing and help us with such contributions. Before we were manually typing all our records and this was not good enough.”
Snr Sergeant Werake said the computer would also be used to train and improve computer literacy amongst the members of the Badilli Police Force.
